2018 People for Education Annual Report on Ontario's Publicly Funded Schools
Ontario’s public education system is one of the most successful systems in the world. Whether measured by provincial, national, or international standards, and whether the assessment measures 15-year olds in science or 8-year olds in reading, Ontario’s public education system is doing very well in teaching students the basics.
In response to this year’s Annual Ontario School Survey, Principals told us that they love their jobs and their school communities, but that they also feel stretched—working long hours with limited resources to meet the needs of their students. This year’s report is based on survey results from 1244 schools in 70 of Ontario’s 72 school boards. For more details about the report, click below to view the full PDF.
