CPCO Statement on March Break
TORONTO: Please find below the statement from the Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario (CPCO) on the decision to delay March Break.
“We can appreciate that for many Principals, Vice-Principals, staff and students, today's news was bittersweet. This pandemic has required us to make ongoing sacrifices in the name of public health to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and we have worked well beyond the point of exhaustion,” said Blaine MacDougall, CPCO’s President.
“We recognize that many of us were hoping for a break sooner than later. While we are encouraged by the Minister’s recognition of our efforts through his commitment to keeping a break in April, we continue to be very concerned about the mental health of our students, Principals, Vice-Principals and all education workers in Ontario.”
