Toronto is an easily accessible transit city with a variety of options for communting. When planning your upcoming convention visit, we encourage you to take some time to review the options below. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) is located directly near streetcar stops, bus stops and subway stations, which can take you to most of the key tourism sites and shopping districts you may want to see. 

Our convention staff will also be pleased to advise, assist and direct you towards transit when you arrive.

There are two airports that service the Toronto area. International flights typically arrive at Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ) just west of Toronto. Short-range international and domestic flights typically arrive at Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) located in downtown Toronto. Both airports offer a variety of transportation options for travelers to get into the city centre once you have arrived.

For international travelers arriving at Pearson International Airport (YYZ), the UP Express train system provides a quick and efficient way into the downtown core. Trips typically cost $12 CAD one-way and take about 25 minutes. 

For those looking to explore locations outside of the city (Niagara Falls is 120km away), GO Transit and VIA Rail offer a number of train routes to get tyou to your desired destination.

City Transit

The city-wide transit system, the TTC, allows travelers to reach all corners of the city. The system is comprised of several bus, subway and streetcar routes. Adult cash fare is $3.25 CAD. Tickets and transit passes can be purchased at most major stations and at outlets around the city. Exact cash fare is required, or a transit Presto Card can be purchased, and funds can be uploaded to the card online.

Within the city, there are many available taxi cabs for hire. Rates are regulated and all taxis use meters to calculate rates. Ride share services such as Uber and Lyft are also widely available.

In the summer months, Toronto is a beautiful city to experience by foot or bicycle. The areas surrounding the convention venue are very tourist friendly. For those interested in experiencing the city by bicycle, Bike Share Toronto can be used for rentals at locations across the city. Single trip fees are $3.25 for 30 minute rental, or select day passes can be purchased.
