New Math Curriculum

The Catholic Principals' Leadership Development | Ontario, Leadership en action and Principal Association Projects, the service partners for Catholic Principals' Council | Ontario (CPCO), L'Association des directions et directions adjointes des écoles franco-ontariennes (ADFO) and Ontario Principals' Council are offering webinars, documentary resources and professional learning networking sessions to support our principals and vice-principals with the implementation of Ontario’s new math curriculum.

Leadership Webinars

While these webinars are designed by division, foundational content is the same in each, offering unique division-appropriate examples for reflection. All referenced resources are accessible through your association and Ministry websites.

Professional Learning Networks

As part of the implementation process, it is important for school leaders to have opportunities to connect with one another to discuss successes and challenges. From November 2020 to March 2021, several Professional Learning Networks (PLNs) will meet every six to eight weeks to discuss and reflect on the implementation of the new curriculum. Through the PLNs, school leaders will have the opportunity to share resources and practices that have been useful at different steps of the implementation process.

Association representatives will be present during the meetings of the PLNs to support the discussions and gather information to support resource development.

PLN # 2: Monitoring & High Impact Practices

English: March 2, 4 - 5 p.m.    |    Français: 03 mars 15 h à 16 h

PLN # 3: High Impact Instructional Practices in Mathematics Continued

OPC, in partnership with CPCO and ADFO, invites you to participate in our third Professional Learning Network (PLN). During this 60-minute session, we will further examine the new resource document High-Impact Instructional Practices alongside the 2020 mathematics curriculum. Through a presentation and self-selected breakout room questions, we will consider the possibilities of what this could look like in our classrooms. PLNs will be available in English and French on the following dates:
